Hey there everyone,
We've recently started developing an OS for the ATSAM3X8E MCU and the FT800 GPU, and our funder just stumbled upon the Mark 5 project.
it houses almost everything we're aiming for, maybe we can make the OS for the Mark 5 system (with some mods)?
the mods we're going to need are: - a voltage level meter hooked up to a analog input pin (for battery percent) (if this hasn't been done yet) - 1 piece (we prefer 2 pieces) of 512k parallel RAM* instead of the SPI RAM (maybe make them detachable (for RAM upgrades) with a header?) (we still need to decide which module though, maybe this community can submit suggestions**) - we prefer to have an amplified audio-output on the arduino onboard DAC for a pair of speakers/headphones for sound (alarms, music, ect.)
* because of the speed increasement it has. ** we prefer the SRAM module(s) to be under $15/each, with 10ns access time and 3,3V compatible voltage.
perhaps this community can help us with those things and help all of us to develop the hardware needed?
i (Ramon Schepers, funder of the Pix-OS project) have an idea of making SD stored executables able to use the sensors on the Mark 5. be it for games, or for simple SD logging.
